Alumni Highlighted for Non-Profit Work

Maccabee Herman '19 and Harrison Konsker '19

Saint Andrew's graduates Maccabee Herman '19 and Harrison Konsker '19 were featured in the June/July 2024 edition of the Boca Raton Observer for their accomplishments with their non-profit, Fillet for Friends.

Fillet for Friends was founded by Maccabee and Harrison in 2014 when they were in grade 8 as a way to combine their love of fishing and their passion for serving the community.

Saint Andrew’s wrote about the organization multiple times during Maccabee and Harrison’s years here at SA. The first time was when Maccabee and Harrison donated 300 lbs of fish to Boca Helping Hands in December 2015. Maccabee and Harrison, along with newer members of the non-profit, were presented with certificates of appreciation by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) in April 2018.

The non-profit has grown tremendously over the last ten years. The non-profit now operates from Boca Raton to the Keys, Jupiter, and Sarasota. They estimate that they have fed more than 100,000 Floridians since 2014.
